Kleine Camping De Duin is beautifully situated in a rural area just two kilometers from the historic town of Blokzijl, near the old dike that once separated the land from the Zuiderzee. In the immediate vicinity of Blokzijl, you can find the Weerribben – Wieden National Park and the “Venice of the North”: Giethoorn. The peaceful campsite borders an old farmhouse. There are 20 spacious camping pitches available, all equipped with electricity. For your convenience and peace, the recreation room offers wireless internet. Swimming and fishing waters are only 150 meters away, and many facilities have been thoughtfully provided.

Information about the area

Blokzijl is a small town in the southwest of Overijssel, in the Kop van Overijssel. It is a popular tourist destination for water sports enthusiasts and day-trippers. The Weerribben-Wieden and Giethoorn are often visited in combination with this town. The exact origin of Blokzijl is unknown; estimates date back to the 16th century. Stories also exist from the year 1438 about its founding. These stories start with the small river, the Steenwijker Aa, which connected Steenwijk to the Zuiderzee and was vital for Steenwijk’s prosperity.
